I guess it is kinda late but as this thread is coming up among the first ones on a google search with z wave and synology i wanted to add that this information. I tried listing the devices in dev folder in ssh session. And in dsm 6 2 ttyacm0 my aeotec usb stick shows up while in dsm7 0 ttyacm0 is absent. I m running homeassistant in docker and after upgrade i don t seem to see the usb stick anymore and as a result don t see any z wave devices in ha.

Which java platform is used and what version openhab version. This is because out of box there are no cp210x drivers installed that are necessary for my combo z wave zigbee stick. I have run openhab 2 1 0 in a docker container on a synology dsm and when i will add the z wave stick i get the status.
