Yamaha Outboard Oil Tank Sensor Bypass

Fwiw while trouble shooting i replaced the following for naught.

Engine tank should begin filling after 4 5 seconds and stop when gets full. I have had the outboard for 4 years and this has never happened before. But with alarm blarring and remote float at full level tank would fill. I was starting it this morning and as soon as i turned the key the alarm buzzer went off.

The emergency bypass fill switch does work by allowing the tank to fill with this switch engaged. The seal is designed to live its life in the oil supply. The yamaha outboard alarm system can fail just like any other system on your outboard. I have a 2001 yamaha ox66 where the main oil tank on the engine is not filling automatically.

The remote oil pump would not turn on. When i locked float to empty position on remote tank. Need to find the seal. Its purpose is to force oil to flow through the strainer and not bypass the strainer at the nipple.
