I read some threads on other vehicles with the same problem and you could recalibrate the roof by holding.
01 tahoe sun roof doesnt open up all the way.
The sunroof on my 2002 chevy tahoe lt wont close up it closes and opens but wont raise to make a water tight seal i tryed to adjust it but could not make it close all the way up.
Even if the sunroof stops early proceed to step 4.
But when closing the back part of the sunroof does not come up all the way to make a seal.

I tried pushing on the glass while holding the button to close it but nothing happens.
It causes a small gap in the seal allowing water to drip in.
Taking it to the dealer tomorrow hopefully.
It actually leaves about a 1 2 inch gap.
Cant see anything binding up but it looks like some of the plastic track material is cracking.

Continue to hold the close tilt up portion of the sunroof switch for at least 30 seconds or until you hear a slight click from the front of the sunroof mechanism.
Using the close tilt up portion of the sunroof switch operate the sunroof glass until it reaches the full vent position.
